WARM GLOW
April 2011
Dollhouse
Ryan Renshaw Gallery Window Space
137 Warry St, Brisbane QLD 4006
The April Edition of The Wandering Room’s ‘residency’ at Ryan Renshaw Gallery is curated by Dhana Merritt. Warm Glow features the works of Pope Alice Xorporation, Bulgarian artist Kamen Stoyanov, Pamela See and Merritt herself. The Dollhouse project is supported by the Visual Arts and Craft Strategy, an initiative of the Australian, State and Territory Governments.
Warm Glow is the unveiling of a new project we’ve undertaken called The Dolllhouse Project, in which artists are prompted to respond to the confines of a dollhouse. Each artist interprets the dollhouse and baths in the warm glow of an awkward homeliness.
Showing inside the gallery will be James Cousins with his take on ‘the encounter’ and the always hilarious Joseph Breikers.
